I cordially invite you to take participation in the third vitreoretinal symposium Retina Lviv 2020 – “The challenges of vitreoretinal surgery”

The conference will be held April 3-4 2020 in Lviv, Ukraine.

The purpose of the symposium is to disclose new methods and techniques in vitreoretinal surgery and discuss different approaches to vitreoretinal pathology.

The format of the symposium involves extensive discussion between speakers and the audience.

We will do our best to make our meeting interesting and useful and your stay in the town of Lion unforgettable!

Submission Deadline: Januar 15, 2020.


  • All submissions must be made online or via e-mail by the deadline of Januar 15, 2020.
  • Submissions by post, fax or any other means will NOT be accepted.
  • Once you have submitted your abstract you will be sent an email summary. Check this to make sure all information is correct. The organisers will not accept any responsibility for abstracts that have not been submitted properly.
  • All abstracts will initially be reviewed, graded and accepted or rejected by the Programme Committee.
  • The Committee reserves the right to determine whether a free paper submission is accepted. The decision of the Committee is final.
  • If an abstract is accepted the named presenter must be a registered delegate at the Meeting and give the presentation.


All submitted abstracts must be in Ukrainian or English and follow the structured format below:

  • Title, Setting, Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusions, Financial Disclosure of all authors.
  • Volume of abstract is max two pages
  • When using abbreviations for the first time, care should be taken to spell them out in full with the abbreviation in parentheses after the full word/s the first time it appears in the text.


  • Only one case report per presentation is permitted.
  • Authors must present their case on a maximum of 5 PowerPoint slides. Each accepted case will be allocated 6 minutes (3 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes’ discussion).
  • The best presentation will nominated for the award.


  • Each author may submit a maximum of two Free Papers and one Complex case presentation.
